The Game Bakers ' Furi first made waves earlier this year on the PC and the PlayStation 4. The game features isometric hack-and-slash action set to a rocking soundtrack of eclectic synthwave artists, including Carpenter Brut, The Toxic Avenger, and Lorn, but to name a few. In fact, the soundtrack is so awesome you can check it out below via the Bandcamp pagina.
This mesmerizing, visually glowing, violently enthralling indie-game masterpiece (which was unduly looked over at this year’s Game Awards) is now available on the Xbox One voor $ 19.99.
The vague but intriguing story is brought to life through a series of violent and challenging fights with a number of bosses sprinkled throughout a high-octane adventure. Major Nelson let Xbox owners know that they could get their hands on the title via the officiële blog.
I really liked what Furi had to offer and I equally liked how The Game Bakers offered it. The multiple endings, different choices and varied challenges kept the game feeling like a throwback to the old PSX era of action titles. It was unforgiving, unrelenting and remorseless in its depiction of difficulty.
I’m not going to give away any part of the story if you don’t know it already, but if you’re looking for a hack-and-slash game with a righteously motivated soundtrack and some popping visuals to keep you engrossed and entertained, you could do a whole lot worse than Furi. Some gamers did complain that the game was a little too hard for their tastes, but that’s the price you sometimes have to pay in order to get good.
You can pick up a copy of the game right now by heading on over to the Microsoft Store or using the Xbox One to visit the Xbox Store to download the game digitally.
