Full-motion video games have mostly disappeared from the limelight over the years. They used to be huge back in the 1990s, defining various moments of interactive entertainment for better or for worse, with games like Night Trap managing to help spawn the ESRB, and schimmenspel pushing the limits on mature themes. Well, D’Avekki Studios is prepping for the release of De Infectious Madness van dokter Dekker, and the game is set to make its debut on Steam starting May 19th.
The game puts you in the role of a psychiatrist as you attempt to interview various patients following the murder of Doctor Dekker. The object is to figure out what happened and solve his untimely demise at the hands of one of his patients.
The game relies on a unique blend of Q&As based around questions that you, the player, ask the patients.

It’s interesting to see FMV games making a return, especially given that they disappeared for quite some time after the 1990’s golden era ended. Recently there was another HD FMV game that came out for home consoles and PC riep late Shift. It was actually a heck of a lot better than I thought it would be.
Bij De Infectious Madness van dokter Dekker, there is more than 1600 full screen HD video responses from the patients. The game’s hook is in being able to freely type your questions and have the patients respond to them.
Based on how you progress will determine what sort of ending you get.
There are multiple stories to play through and a handful of side-quests to explore as well.
It’s interesting to see that some studios are trying to push the FMV genre forward again after it lay dormant for so long.
De Infectious Madness van dokter Dekker is rated ‘M’ for Mature due to sexual themes, and you can look to pick up a digital copy starting May 19th. For more info feel free to visit the Steam winkelpagina.
